Air Fryer Flatbread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional toppings: garlic powder, herbs, cheese, etc.
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms. You may need to use your hands to knead the dough into a ball.
- If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. If it’s too dry, add a small amount of yogurt.
- Divide and Roll:
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts.
- On a floured surface, roll each part into a flat circle or oval, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Cook the Flatbread:
- Lightly brush both sides of each flatbread with olive oil.
- Place the flatbreads in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the flatbreads are golden brown and cooked through.
- Optional Toppings:
- If desired, sprinkle garlic powder, herbs, or cheese on the flatbreads before cooking.
- For a cheesy flatbread, add shredded cheese on top during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Serve:
- Serve the flatbreads warm. They are perfect on their own or with dips like hummus, tzatziki, or as a side for soups and salads.
Tips:
- You can experiment with whole wheat flour or other types of flour, but you may need to adjust the amount of yogurt accordingly.
- These flatbreads are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two. Reheat in the air fryer for a couple of minutes before serving.
