Creamy Shrimp Mozzarella Pasta
Ingredients:
- Pasta:
- 12 oz (340 g) fettuccine or your preferred pasta
- Shrimp:
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Cook Pasta:
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Prepare Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Add mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine and Serve:
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat pasta and shrimp evenly with the sauce.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Garnish:
- Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

- Shrimp: Fresh or frozen shrimp can be used. If using frozen, ensure they are fully thawed and patted dry before cooking.
